Dr. Vidya Bawkar is a renowned Ophthalmologist & Eye Surgeon practicing in Dombivli. She has an experience of more than 12 years in the treatment of various eye problems.

She graduated from MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai. It was followed by DNB in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Sankara Eye Hospital, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh which has produced many eminent ophthalmologists. After post-graduation, she did Fellowship in Cornea & Refractive Surgery from Sankara Eye Hospital, Bangalore.

She is a meticulous surgeon and keeps a thorough follow-up of all the patients who consult her. She is a keen learner and is up to date with all the new nuances in the field of ophthalmology.

She has worked with several reputed eye hospitals like, Sankara Eye Hospital, Andhra Pradesh & Isha Netralaya, Kalyan where she examined & treated large volume of patients, thereby gaining rich and variegated experience in all branches of Ophthalmology.

She has vast experience in cataract surgeries, penetrating & lamellar keratoplasty, LASIK and other cornea procedure. Currently, she practices at her own well-equipped hospital, Neuro-Vision Hospital in Dombivli and is attached with various eye hospitals across the city.

Dr. Vidya is also actively involved in various medical camp organised at local and national levels. She has been projecting her work through numerous papers and talks at various National and International conferences across the country. Apart from this she is also an enthusiastic teacher and has been instrumental in training of young eye surgeons.

  1. DSEK, DALK, PKP, TKP, AMG.
  2. PRK and SBK (lasik).
  3. 120 cases of corneal collagen cross linking for keratoconus, C3R and also in nonresponding keratitis.
  4. More than 200 corneal tear and globe repairs including pediatric and complicated cases.
  5. Excision biopsy, amniotic membrane transplantation, pterygium excision with autograft, limbal stem cell transplantation.
